Well, it /looks/ like a total monstrosity. I just wonder if the mods actually come together into a well-performing car. Otherwise... probably could have built two track NA’s with all that time and money.

I love gratuitous aero bits when they’re this well done (not stick-on canards or enormous tuner wings)

Neat, but it’s a lot of show for probably not a lot of go. However, I do like the Garage Vary retro-style taillights with modern LEDs in them...but I guess the owner was too cheap/lazy to make the reverse light LED as well. The ducktail spoiler looks cool but probably doesn’t do much, especially with that useless but cool-looking hardtop spoiler. That rear diffuser is trash, it probably creates more turbulence than reducing it because it’s so short.

Vista’s aero was better.

It was better than Windows Me

It looked better. By the time SP2 came around it was basically identical, technically, to 7.

I had SP2, and it was not identical in any way to 7. The horrible memory management was still present, would still thrash the HD with a huge paging file, and would still crash and burn the minute any browser (Chrome, Opera, Firefox - even Internet Explorer) I used had more than three tabs open. It was pathetic.

I have 7 on the exact same (admittedly bottom barrel spec compared to today) PC and the difference is night and day. I can open and close all the tabs I want and the paging issues are long gone, and overall stability is 10 times better. It’s a quantum leap ahead of Vista in terms of memory management. There’s no comparison.

I believe the pagefile behavior can be changed. Been a while, though.

Nope. You can change the size of the page file, but not how and when it would access that file. The OS was in full control over paging management. Changing it to zero MB would result in a boot-to-BSOD for me, and smaller page files 1) wouldn’t kill the HD thrashing which is what I wanted 2) made the machine bordeline unuseable between the running out of memory errors and inevitable BSODs

There was only one way to fix the paging issue; get an OS that doesn’t have the shitty memory management issues that vista had.
